Mike is rock steady in this band, with nerves
of steel and a good sense of fun when it's needed.

| Mike Tringali - Bass & Backup Vocals | |
Mike is the Bass player in the Reggae style for Red Di and contributes back-up vocals. But he is also a multi-instrumentalist as he plays Guitar, Percussion and Keyboards. Mike has played Rock, Country, standards and Punk in his recent past but says he has always loved Reggae and was inspired to play it by other Bay Area musicians. Mike likes the elements of Reggae music that make it pure although he acknowledges that the varied influences of all the band members make their music a different sound that works. Mike says "everyone in the band throws something into the pot and good things happen." Mike is another source of original material for the band and says he needs to get into a certain mood to start producing songs. One of Mike's songs is Take A Chance, one of the band's high-tempo dance songs. Mike is also the songwriter for One Night Love which is a favorite of fans, as well as Barry, a Ska tune that inspires some of the band's younger fans to get into a high-stepping dance mode. Mike says he likes to throw song ideas out at one time. He says if one idea is good - its good right from the start. Mike believes good music is inspirational by allowing people to come to other ideas while listening to it Mike can often seem like one of the more reserved band members but he's the first one to leap across the stage and on top of a speaker or Amp if the mood strikes him. Mike has a trademark yell for times like this - "Cuckoo"! |
