| Mustapha
Craig is the member of Red Di who steps to the front of the stage or onto the dance
floor and energizes the crowd with his voice and his motions. Mustapha's trademark vocal
style is a combination of rough/tough sound and mellow glide and he adds a spiritual
dimension to Red Di. Mustapha's fans know him
as the cheerleader - the band member that will lead them into dance lines, either on a
formal dance floor, or in the gravel pits of some outdoor venues. Hands start waving and
feet start shuffling. Some of Mustapha's littlest fans with the biggest eyes will climb
onto the stage and stand next to him, playing a percussion instrument that usually matches
the one he is shaking.
Mustapha is known for his generosity of spirit within his band, and within his community.
He gives his time and talent to people with much less. Mustapha has established a
non-profit musical program that benefits children in local schools and
underpriveleged children in homeless shelters in California's Santa Clara County. Mustapha
sports a jacket hand-painted by the children who wanted to show their love and caring for
a gentle man who has shown so much kindess to them. Learn more about his music program Nothin'

In his own words:
- i have been a
ragga music fan for over 25 years ..i think ragga music today doesn't carry the same
feelings as its' original intent ..it's too poppy and the message is different...we need
to put feeling back in the songs
ragga music is the healing of the nation including my heart and
soul..it's like dope...when i sing or hear ragga music it takes all the troubles an pain
away an you just feel good
i truly believe inna ragga movement back to a more positive style
uniting people from all around and i chant with intent to lift positive Karma
i don't like red di ..i love red di....................this band
is cool, relaxed, strivin to make a statement...not just open to cover tunes an format
like most bands..i think red di's best secret is the ability to free form a song ..that's
ragga music..to be able to play the same songs over an over...doesn't sound the
same...constantly changing depending on the mood of the people...that's talent ...and i
want to be part of this rising star.
